Drama AND SOME cic:  Any place or community space

Past Productions

Dance Home Arika

Drama AND SOME cic produced a double bill of two one person plays. Dance Home Arika was written with a local actor in mind and was the story of a  girl in care who had been alienated from her Sikh heritage and how she  finally embraces her Sikh culture.

Foodbankers concentrated on the lives of food bank workers and how, with a little misfortune they could easily end up as food bank clients themselves. Audience members were encouraged to bring something to donate to the local food bank.

Both plays were funded by Arts Council England.

Black Country Blues started life as part of The Sandwell Festival in an empty shop space as a play-reading. It then progressed to a tour of venues around Sandwell and the Black country.

The productions were funded via the Barry Jackson Awards and Arts Council England.  The play involved a cast of six and made use of Black country dialect and Jamaican patios. The tour was part of the Black Country Festival.
